It was fun, but...what on Earth did I just watch?
In a post-apocalyptic world, nearly the entire Earth has been rendered inhabitable to people. However, humanity retains its advanced technology and, in an attempt to rebuild, rewrite and copy their history. The world is currently entering a period where they are rewriting a 30-year-war era, and are seeking out conflicts.

Meet the cast |
The meat of this episode is centered around a training exercise for the third-year class on the Far East's mobile capital Musashi. The rules are simple. The instructor,
Oriotorai Makiko will run across the capital to a Yakuza den, where she will beat up the boss there. If the class manages to land 10 attacks on her before then, they pass. Ready... Go!
|
Run, run! |
This episode serves mostly to demonstrate the skills and abilities of the class, which is certainly full of odd characters. We've got the rather straightforward attackers like
Adele, long range attackers
Margot and
Malga, the triple team of
Bukkido, Renji and Tenzou, on the more "typical" side... to more bizarre examples such as
Hassan (fighting with curry?), the incubus
Itou Kenji, the red slime
Renji, and the gladiator-looking
Verzora, who is large enough to be a platform for other characters.

And the yakuza goes down |
It's not until the last couple minutes that the actual main character, Aoi Toori appears, having ditched class to buy himself an eroge... and promptly earns himself a
death flag.
I have to say, I don't particularly care for Toori very much, but as long as they keep Makiko doing what she's been doing, I'm going to love this show.
